老师像一位辛勤的园丁，助我们在阳光下成长；老师像一盏明灯，照亮了我们前方的道路；老师更像一根细小的火柴，用自己的火光点燃了我们心中的蜡烛。
让我记忆深刻的是教了我们两年的英语老师。
老师并不算高。一米五七左右的个字，喜欢穿裙子，时常带着她的尺子来给我们上课。
老师的尺子更是让我深有感触，那是一把30厘米左右的铁尺，尺子上的刻度已经磨掉了不少，尺子上凹凸不平，一看就是有些年头的了。尺子的用处更是多样：用来点屏幕上的句子，单词，用来画线，还用来“警告”那些分心的同学。一次，我上课时分了神，发起了呆，正当我入迷时，只见我眼前突然闪过了一道银光，我吓了一跳，等我回过神来，我仔细一看，原来是老师的尺子，我顺着尺子往上看，我看见英语老师板着脸站在那里，手用尺子在我桌子上点两三下，尺子与桌子碰撞发出的“砰砰”声如炸雷一般在我耳边响起，我立马提了提神，看向书本，读起了书。虽然老师没有跟我说一句话，但她尺子和神情却深深震撼了我，从那以后，我上英语课再也没有发过呆……
老师的教学属于脚踏实地那种类型，书本里的重点难点，该抄的，该默的，该读的，该背的，一个都跑不掉。也许你会说老师太严厉了吧，那你就大错特错了，每到考试时，就会明白当初抄的是有用的，没有浪费！虽然有时口头上会抱怨太多，但又明白，今天的辛苦是为了以后可以不那么辛苦。
哈，这便是我们严格而又不失温柔，严肃而又不失幽默的英语老师。
