scarlett , a very personality figures ,the two mans she love ,neither does she know about.to her, i was compelled to admire, admire her strong and brave, admire her to lay down in the environment, farm workers previously suffered education, admire her to disregard the community to create their own expression of the cause .she is in the whole story, all a person full of fighting will full of vitality . i appreciated most , it is this " tomorrow is another day of hers. " . promising forever, full of fighting will , will never give up, never desperate. i think im moved by her.so, whenever i meet difficulty, the mood is not good, i will tell oneself : " tomorrow is another day. " gone with the wind is absolutely a good book that is worth sampling repeatedly, the characters are graceful , the plot rises and falls, exciting boldly and unconstrainedly, though the subjective factor because of the author among them , the appraisal on u.s.a.s civil war is not objective and overall, but as to angle of literature, this one fine piece of writing generation definitely absolutely, worth visiting.

author: antoine de st-exupery

main characters: the little prince, the pilot, the rose, the fox, the snake, etc.

despite i’ve not in my childhood yet, i still prefer reading fairy-tale stories. the tales, which accompany with me in my old days, often make me think of some precious experience and sensation which only belong to children. this summer i’ve review this kind of tale, which was published in 1940. it’s the world-famous fairy-tale by the french author, antoine de st-exupery, the little prince.

as many other fairy-tales, the outline of the little prince is not very complex. “i”, the narrator of the story, is a pilot whose plane has something wrong and lands in the sahara. in this occasion, the pilot makes the acquaintance of the little prince, a little boy from another planet, the asteroid b612. the little prince has escaped from his tiny planet, because he has some quarrel with a rose, which grows on his planet. in that case he left his own planet and took an exploration at some neighbor asteroids.

on his all-alone journey, the little prince meets different kinds of people, which includes a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer. from these people he gets a conclusion that the grown-ups are very odd. following the instruction of the geographer, he descends in the sahara, on the earth.

oliver twist is written by charles dickens.

charles dickens is one of the greatest writers in the england. he was born in a poor family, but later he became famous and rich. the famous novel --a tale of two cities is written by him, too.

this novel shows us the cruelty and crime of london. oliver twist, the hero, is a poor orphan. he lived in a life filled with taunts. nobody loved him. with visions of his future, he decided to go to london. he thought a new life was coming, but he was wrong, a group of thieves were waiting for him.

the author created a group of bad men.

fagin, an old man, with a horribly ugly face and red hair, was the head of those thieves. he tried to make oliver be a criminal.

bill sikes was a cruel and evil man in the group. he had a bad temper.

monks, oliver’s brother, did bad things to hurt oliver. he wanted to get the legacies left by his father alone. he paid fagin to trap oliver into a life of crime. in fact, they were all afraid of being put into prison and being hanged. they can’t live happily.

nancy, a poor girl, loved a bad man. she had to help bill sikes perpetrate, because she loved him. she had to be loyal to the criminal group, because she loved him. actually, she was kind. she helped oliver at the risk of her life. if she hadn’t fell in love with sikes, she would have a happy ending.

the author showed these ugly things to us, he described an ugly world. but there are more kind people in the novel.

mr. brownlow, an old friend of oliver’s father, took good care of oliver.

mrs. maylie, harry maylie’s mother, saved oliver of his life.

miss rose is the aunt of oliver, in fact.

they all protect oliver from hurt.

oliver was unlucky to meet so many evil people, but he was luckier to get help from so many kind people.

in the end of the novel, all the evil people were punished. oliver got what he should get. rose married harry maylie and they lived happily. all the kind people have a happy ending.

righteousness can always beat evil. i think this is what the author wants to tell. although there are many ugly things in the world, we must believe that righteousness can always beat evil.

we must store kindness even though we are in ugly situation. one is poor if he doesn’t have kindness. one is rich if he has kindness. so please store your kindness in your mind.

what’s more, the novel also tells us to be brave. oliver was brave enough to overcome all the problems he had met. no matter how difficult the problem is, we can’t give up, we must try our best to solve it.

from oliver twist , i have learnt a lot 。it’s really a good novel.

in this semester, i have read the book pride and prejudice in english version. pride and prejudice is one of my favoritebooks. in this book, jane austen shows us different ways and attitudes toward marriage by describing four love stories in the book. many people may simply regard pride and prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this novel reflects the english human sentiment of the end of 18th century and the early of 19th century under the circumstance of conservative.this masterpiece ofjane austenperfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at that time.thereby, it reveal the author herself attitude towards marriage, that is love and marriage based on money, property and social status is not perfect, but it is also stupid without considering all of these.

in this book, jane austengave the people vivid characters.the characters have their own personalities. when i read the book, i can always find the same personalities in the society now. that is why i think this book is indeed the representative of the society in britain in the 18th century.and that is why i like it.

the character in this book i like best is elizabeth. from where i stand, elizabeth is unique. from story to see, elizabeth has both resourcefulness and courage. she has vision and very strong self-respect. what’s more, she is good at thinking. she owns her views and behaves properly. in the novel, whenmr.collins expresses his love and wants to marry her, she can promptly refuse him. furthermore, when darcy’s aunt arrogantly puts forward her requirement that elizabeth should reject mr.darcy, she firmly turns down her offensive requirement. from it, we can see that elizabeth has her own persistence of love and never stop pursuing. of course at first elizabeth also displays significant pride. though not influenced by economic status, elizabeth is most proud of her ability of perception. although it is her wrong perception which causes her to misjudge mr.darcy and also wickham, when elizabeth hears of wickham’saccusations of darcy, she trusts the negative perception of him, and mistakenly views darcy’sconceit. fortunately she finally eliminated her prejudice to him when she got an acquaintance of what darcy did for her, because they give up prejudice to each other, the can have a happy marriage.in my opinion, the personality ethic of elizabeth caused her independent idea of love and marriage and in consequence she earned a happy life.

the language used in this book is one of the reason i like the book. humorous, ironical, polished language and real storyline occurred in this articlegive me a deep impression.although austen was only 21 when she wrote “pride and prejudice”, her sharp observation of social lives makes the style of this book surprisingly mature and lively. the plots in her works are always very natural. the development of the plot is as inevitable as a problem in mathematics.

in a word, pride and prejudice has delighted me with its ingenious plot, brilliant dialogue, and inventiveassortment of unique characters. iwas completely attracted to this book. and in the near future, i will choose other works of jane austen to read. maybe the next book i will choose is sense and sensibility.

little women is a novel published in 1868 and written by american author louisa may the story concerns the lives and loves of four sisters growing up during the american civil it was based on alcott's own experiences as a child in concord, massachusetts with her three sisters, anna, may, and little women is the story of the marches, a family used to hard toil and although father march is away with the union armies, the sisters meg, jo, amy and beth keep in high spirits with their mother, affectionately named their friendly gift of a christmas holiday breakfast to a neighbouring family is an act of generosity rewarded with wealthy laurence's gift of a surprise christmas however, despite their efforts to be good, the girls show faults: the pretty meg becomes discontented with the children she teaches; boyish jo loses her temper regularly; while the golden-haired schoolgirl amy is inclined towards however, beth, who keeps the house is always kind and after certain happy times winning over the laurences, dark times arrive as marmee finds out about her husband's worse is to come as beth contracts scarlet fever in her samaritan efforts for a sick neighbour and becomes more or lean the novel tells of their progreinto young womanhood with the additional strains of romance, beth's terminal illness, the pressures of marriage and the outside this is the story of their growing maturity and wisdom and the search for the contentedneof family it was written in 1867 and is a fictionalised biography of alcott and her it has become a much loved classic tale and, while some of its issues seem outdated, many of the trials of the sisters are all too relevant today as evidenced by its continued

how can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? the reason is the nature of goodness. i think it is the most important information implied in the novel by dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. although i don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet i do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.

for me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. goodness is to humans what water is to fish. he who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. on the contrary, as the famous saying goes, the fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. people receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to b m.paomian.net/ oth the people he has helped and himself.

to my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. they look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. as a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. on the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. in their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. if they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness’, they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. they are one of the sorts that i really detest.

francis bacon said in his essay, ‘goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’

there is no doubt that pride and prejudice is well-known, the book that iswritten by jane austen has an influence on the culture.as far as i’m concerned, the ending of the fiction is wonderful, elizabeth and darcy won theirhappiness, leading a colourful life .

first of all, let’s learn about the author who is jane austen .she wasunmarried all her life. she was born in a mid-class family and was brought up ina fortable environment with harmonious surroundings, so there’s not too manyconflicts in her sight neither in her novel. in pride and prejudice she talkeddifferent ideas about love and marriage through different characters.

jane austen disclosed mid-class young ladies’ different ideas of marriageand love through describing the different ways in which the bennet girls doingwith their marriage problems, and this undoubtedly shows the writer’s idea aboutlove and marriage: it’s wrong to get married just for property, wealth andstatus while neither would it be without caring about those elements.jane austenjust attached great significance to marriage through hernovel

by telling people that marriage should be regardedcarefully.

then, let’s get close to story.the details is that mr. bennet is an englishgentleman with an estate in hertfordshire. he has five unmarried daughters butno sons while his inheritance must be inherited by a male, so mrs. bennet hasbeen keen to seek husband for her daughters with great enthusiasm.

one day the bennets had a new neighbor called bingley who was a wealthybachelor and followed be the target of mrs. bennet. at a ball bingley fell inlove with jane bennet who’s the oldest daughter of the bennets. bingley’s frienddarcy also came to the ball and struck the sights, many girls liked him while hethought all of them couldn’t suit his preference, including elizabeth. mr. darcyalways shows others a impression of pride, having found this elizabeth began tohate mr. darcy.

before long darcy fell in love with elizabeth bennett because of her lovelybehavior, while elizabeth is disgusted by his pride and has a prejudice abouthim. the official wickham was weled by the villagers, and elizabeth also took ashine to him. wickham told someting about darcy, which increased eli’s prejudiceabout mr. darcy. at

another ball mr. darcy invited elizabeth to dance with him, but eli refusedhim. eli’s elder male cousin mr. collin came to hertfordshire to inherit thebennett's property by rules, he wanted to marry with one of the bennets. havingknown that jane was already engaged with mr. bingley, he asked elizabeth tomarry him but was seriously rejected. at last he proposed to charllote who waseli’s friend.

mr. collins was good at flattering and he got the pastorate with the helpof lady catherine. once his family was invited to rosings garden by ladycatherine. elizabeth also went there with mr. collin and charllote. there shemet mr. darcy who’s lady catherine’s nephew.then mr. darcy came to the collins’and confessed his love for elizabeth, of course he was rejected impolitely.

afterwards mr. darcy wrote a letter to eli in order to remove hermisunderstandings of him. elizabeth’s uncle and aunt were also impressed by mr.darcy’s politeness. gradually eli’s prejudice of mr. darcy disappeared.eventually they became couple.

in my opinion ,on the one hand,i think elizabeth has personality ethicwhich caused her independent idea about love and marriage and in consequence sheearned a happy

life. there’re also eli’s sisters’ love stories served as contrasts to thefemale subject’s ideal marriage, such as charlotte and collin’s life: they dohad a luxury life, but there’s no real love between them and this kind ofmarriage is surely a tragedy of society.on the other hand, darcy is brave ,he diddo his best to pursuit his love.

as a matter of fact, everyone has shortings ,after reading the story ,i didrealize that we should find our advantages and disadvantages byourselves.moreover,it’s necessary for us to try our best to get over shortings.iam aware that we ought to get along with others with the same attitude.the rightthat seeking for happiness is equal for everyone.therefore,we should value thethings that we have, and cherish the chances.
